Employees Liability Insurance - update

It is well known that the Certificate of Employers Liability Insurance must be displayed where all employees can see it. Are you aware that this can now be displayed in an electronic format providing it remains readily accessible to all employees?Although it is no longer a legal requirement to keep your Certificate of Employers Liability Insurance for 40 years insurance companies are still recommending that employers do still retain them for 40 years just in case you receive a claim from a past employee.

Penalties

HMRC have announced changes to late payment penalties for late or none filing of Contractor Monthly Returns (CIS300). The first return affected by these changes is for the month to 5 November 2011 which must be filed by 19 November 2011 to ensure penalties are avoided. Simone Greasley
