Opt-out preserved…….

The opt-out from the 48-hour limit on the working week is to remain in its current form.  Conciliation talks between the European Council and European Parliament were brought to an end, when no agreement could be reached.  UK employers can continue to use the Opt-out at the present time.

We will have to wait and see if another challenge occurs when the new European Commission takes up Office in the Autumn.  Simone
