Why bother with the blog?

If your like me I get bomdarded with newsletters in my mail box. Undoubtedly some of these will contain useful information but unfortunately they all get treated the same either trashed or saved and never get read. At EMS we know you value your time so we’ve created our blog which will be updated weekly with Company news and business tips that you may be interested in.

So trash the newsletters and log on to the EMS blog weekly http://www.blog.emseff.co.uk/

Creating effective business consultants

We at EMS have a Goal to improve the performance of our customers. One of the ways we do this is to ensure our resources are effective which we do by ensuring that all our consultants have the necessary key skills. We have a training program for consultants which is also applicable to those with limited experience of the business support field. If you are someone who is considering a career in business consultancy then have a look at our website http://www.emseff.co.uk/index.html and if you like what you see contact us http://www.emseff.co.uk/contact.html

Leadership training in the Middle East

Linda Trapnell, one of our trusted suppliers, has just returned from 10 days in the Middle East where she delivered leadership training at two venues to a total of 60 people. As always with Linda the feedback on the training was 5 star. We are keen to convert Linda to a member of EMS so watch this blog for further news! If your business wants to improve its leadership skills then contact us.

Added value website

We launched our new website in October with the aim of providing business people with access to useful business advice and support. Whilst of course it promotes EMS you’ll find details of our philosophy of business support, key resources, articles of interest and use, our workshops and solutions. We hope you find the site and this blog (ensuring we don’t give you yet another newsletter!) useful. If you’ve not already visited us go to http://www.emseff.co.uk/index.html

ABC Financial Analysis

We have just completed a major piece of work for one of our clients enabling them to analyse and forecast the turnover, cash flow and profitability of their business on a month by month basis. The work was headed up by Trevor and involved a detail understanding of how the business worked to produce a model which enabled the business to work through as many ‘what if’ scenarios they wanted. The result is a much better understanding of how the business works and an ability to react quickly to the ever changing economic conditions.

Safety - taking the risk out of your business

EMS are always looking at ways of helping Companies. Operating unsafely always presents a risk to a business if not financially then through risk to its employees. Complementing our in house expertise we have trusted suppliers and one we have known for a long time is Phil Wass. Through his Company, Wass Management Ltd, he provides excellent safety training that is both NEBOSH and IOSH approved. Have a look at Phil’s website

Helping Our Customers with their Business English

We have just finished delivering a 1.5 day workshop on business English for a certified institute. We identified the need in conversation with the client and we have aimed the content on avoiding miss interpretation and hence upsetting clients and suppliers. This will continue to form the basis of a key service to our customers.

Generating Interest in TOC

Getting the management team up to speed with Goldrat’s Theory of Constraints was the objective of a recent seminar run by Geoff and Phil. This customer is part of a global corporation and a major large plant manufacturer in the local area. The company is heavily commited to lean and continuous improvement. In fact the room was full of Black Belts!!! They certainly identified where their bottlenecks might be and where the future projects should be focused. Watch this space. You might find the article ‘Two’s Company’ useful for your business -
